James McCrae, author of SH&T YOUR EGO SAYS talks being homeless after Hurricane Sandy

James McCrae, author of SH*T YOUR EGO SAYS, talks at length about the process of writing his book, including moving to NYC penniless, becoming homeless in Hurricane Sandy and eventually hitting rock bottom — only to realize that much of his suffering (and his incredulous thoughts that he was a fraud) was due to the ego.

From a beach in the Caribbean, the stranded wanna-be author started writing his book — which became SH*T YOUR EGO SAYS. Two years later, James got the call just last week from the president of Hay House Publishing that Hay House would publish the book in 2016.

James has been called the “Eckart Tolle for the MTV generation” and his story is a great reminder of how important it is to create great art, to ship it, to stick with it and to live a life that is interesting.
